This is just another short post to update you on the status of the affiliate tax bill in Minnesota. According to the Minnesota Senate website, SF 282 has been removed from this Thursday’s agenda. There are frequently changes in agenda for many reasons. If you are an affiliate in Minnesota I would urge you to continue to contact your local representatives and the committee members. It is also critical that you continue to prepare your websites and evaluate relationships with your merchants to identify those that may be vulnerable.

If you recall, the House of Representatives have a companion bill, HF 401 which has been held over for inclusion in the omnibus tax bill. I will try to find out more about the new hearing date for SF 282. I will also keep you informed on the status of HF 401.
